Meet the Consultant

Hello!

Jessica Simandjuntak, RN, IBCLC, ICCE, is the founder of Olive Branch Lactation and a dedicated nurse and lactation consultant with a deep passion for supporting families through the feeding journey. With a background in perinatal nursing, NICU care, and mental health, Jessica brings a well-rounded perspective to lactation support — one that recognizes both the physical and emotional experiences of early parenthood.

Her work is rooted in evidence-based care and guided by compassion. Jessica understands that feeding challenges are rarely “just about feeding.” They often intertwine with recovery, sleep deprivation, shifting identities, relationship changes, and mental health. With additional training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, she approaches every consultation with a whole-person mindset, recognizing that caring for a parent’s well-being is just as important as supporting their baby.

As a mother of three, Jessica’s professional knowledge is complemented by lived experience. She understands the vulnerability, exhaustion, and deep desire to feel confident that so many parents carry. This perspective allows her to create a space where families feel safe, heard, and fully supported — never judged.

Jessica believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to infant feeding. Each family she works with receives individualized, thoughtful guidance tailored to their unique goals, circumstances, and values. Whether navigating early latch challenges, transitioning home from the NICU, creating a pumping plan, or working through complex feeding concerns, she partners with families to develop a plan that feels sustainable, realistic, and aligned with their needs.

Through both in-home visits and virtual consultations, Jessica brings compassionate, expert support directly to you — meeting you in the comfort of your own space and walking alongside you every step of the way.

At Olive Branch Lactation, you are not expected to navigate feeding challenges alone. You are met with understanding, encouragement, and a plan thoughtfully designed for your family.
